Sophia Godfrey

Sophia Godfrey has been working in the design industry since 2008. Sophia began their career as an Industrial Design Student at Loughborough University. In 2010, they completed an Industrial Placement at EG Technology Ltd, where they were involved in the design and development of consumer and medical projects. From 2012 to 2014, they worked at Dyson as a Design Engineer and a Graduate Design Engineer, focusing on design for manufacture, technical feasibility of early stage concepts, and analysis. In 2014, they joined Cambridge Consultants as a Senior Consultant - UX Design, where they trained and mentored junior designers and created compelling and informative visualisations of complex data. In 2020, they moved to AVEVA as a Principal Product Designer. In this role, they led the design efforts within the Unified Supply Chain product portfolio, with a main focus on the Schedule AI Assistant. Finally, in 2021, they began their current role as a Senior Product Designer at Five AI.

Sophia Godfrey attended Kimbolton School from 1999 to 2008. Sophia then went on to Loughborough University and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Industrial and Product Design in 2012. In 2017, they attended General Assembly to obtain a User Experience Design certification. In December 2018, they obtained a Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) certification from The Interaction Design Foundation.
