David Manor has a diverse work experience in the field of IT. David started their career as a Switchboard Operator and Patient Information Desk at Mercy Medical Center in 2000. From there, they worked as an IT Consultant for various consulting firms and as a Help Desk Technician at the University of Northern Iowa.
In 2005, David joined Northern Michigan University as a Seaborg Center Webmaster and later became an Assistant Webmaster at the Academic Computer Services department. David handled website maintenance and updates using HTML, CSS, and PHP.
In 2006, David worked as a Network Support Specialist at Terex Corporation, where they redesigned and maintained Cisco Network Infrastructure and supported 200 end users in a Windows Server environment.
In 2014, David became an IT Consultant at Connect Computer, where they were responsible for hardware configuration, maintenance, and installation of networking systems, desktops, and servers.
Since 2015, David has been working as a Systems Engineer at Flagship Networks. Their role involves managing service provider firm providing IT consulting services, designing and implementing networks, and ensuring IT solutions meet business requirements for assigned clients. David has expertise in various areas of infrastructure, including networking, security, virtualization, storage, and server.
Throughout their career, David has displayed proficiency in utilizing various technologies such as Citrix XenServer, VMware, Microsoft Active Directory, and Microsoft Exchange. David has also provided technical services including break/fix, help desk support, virus removal, and software installation and configuration.
David Manor began their education at Northern Michigan University in 2003, where they studied Information Systems until 2006. David then transferred to the University of Northern Iowa and earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Computer Science from 2006 to 2008. David returned to the University of Northern Iowa in 2013 and completed another Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Computer Science in 2014. Alongside their formal education, David also obtained various certifications, including A+ IT Technician in 2009, MCSA: Windows 7, MCPS: Microsoft Certified Professional, and MCITP: Enterprise Desktop Administrator on Windows 7 in 2012, and CompTIA Server in 2015.
