Senior Software Engineer/Tech Lead at Flairsoft

Larissa Borcz has a diverse range of work experience in software engineering and development. Larissa worked as a Senior Software Engineer/Tech Lead at Flairsoft, where they developed software applications using ASP.NET Webforms and MVC in languages such as C#, XML, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery. Larissa also had experience with database development using SQL Server and/or Oracle. Larissa collaborated with project managers, clients, quality assurance representatives, interns, and business analysts to ensure timely and high-quality completion of work.

Prior to that, Larissa was the Owner of LoneWolf Coding, LLC, where they provided custom website, desktop application, and API development on a contract basis. Larissa also volunteered their time to create custom websites, applications, and streaming tools for the Twitch community. Larissa integrated Twitch API functionality into websites and applications using C#, HTML, JavaScript, jQuery, and CSS.

Larissa also worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Columbus Instruments, where they researched, designed, and developed computer software systems using VB6, C#, and .NET. Larissa performed requirements analysis and project management for software application redesign using C#.

In the role of Contract: Requirements Analyst, Software and Applications Developer at Nationwide Insurance/Brooksource, Larissa completed a Continuous Improvement challenge by building a responsive WPF GUI with custom installer. Larissa interfaced with an IBM DB2 mainframe to streamline the reprint process of claims checks and prototyped GUI functionality using VBS, HTML, JavaScript, and CSS. Larissa created a final interface using C# and .NET that supported XML, Zip, Excel, Outlook, and encryption components with audit record keeping.

At Micro Industries, Larissa worked as a Software and Applications Developer, where they wrote and maintained applications for legacy and proprietary systems. Larissa debugged and added features to enhance system development using C#, .NET, JavaScript, and ActionScript 3. Larissa also authored technical documentation and designs for the developed software, systems, and scripts.

Early in their career, Larissa gained experience as a Student Programmer/Technology and Multimedia Support at Ohio State University: Office of the Chief Information Officer - Digital Union. Larissa developed and implemented solutions for hardware and software issues, troubleshooted software and hardware products, and provided design solutions for faculty, staff, and students. Larissa also supervised staff members on assigned projects and served as a primary contact for technical issues.

In addition, Larissa had engineering internships at ADB SAFEGATE Airport Systems in 2006 and 2005.

Larissa Borcz obtained their Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from The Ohio State University in 2012. Additionally, they also completed minors in Business and Computer and Information Science during their time at the same institution.
