Previously, Roel held positions including HealthTech Director at nv Roche sa, Business Innovation Partner at KU Leuven, and Innovation Manager at the Leuven Health Technology Centre, where support was provided to researchers for the valorization of health technology. As the CEO of Activ84Health, Roel developed personalized technology solutions to enhance the quality of life for individuals. Earlier career roles included Project Manager of Sustainable Health at VITO, emphasizing mobile health technologies, and Post-Doctoral Researcher at the University of Antwerp, following academic achievements at the same institution.
