Kevin Beck

Kevin Beck is a Mechanical Engineering student at Northwestern University with a diverse range of experience in robotics, mechatronics, and engineering design. Currently serving as a Robotics and Haptics Research Assistant at Northwestern University Center for Robotics and Biosystems, Kevin contributes to collaborative research under Prof. Ed Colgate. As Data Acquisition Lead Engineer for the Northwestern University Baja SAE Team, Kevin has enhanced the tuning system for constant variable transmission and designed printed circuit boards. Previously, Kevin worked as a Mechanical Engineering Intern at FlashCut CNC, focusing on C++ optimization for CNC control and user documentation, and has actively participated in the Northwestern University Robotics Club, designing and competing in combat robotics. Additional experiences include internships at Perseus Materials, rocketry instruction at Lake of the Woods & Greenwoods Camps, freelance engineering consultation, and project management for Project Achilles' Shields.
