Brittany C. Ross

Director, Research And Evaluation at The Florida Department of Education

Brittany C. Ross has diverse work experience in the field of education. From 2020 onwards, they served as the Director of Research and Evaluation for the Division of Career, Technical, and Adult Education at The Florida Department of Education. Previously, they were an Assistant Director at Broward College's TRIO Educational Opportunity Center, where they provided services to individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds. Brittany also founded PriorityEd!, LLC in 2017 and worked as its CEO, offering education consultancy services focused on community-centered decision-making. Brittany C. has further experience as a Research Advocate at the Southern Poverty Law Center, specializing in children's rights and mass incarceration. Earlier in their career, Brittany worked with the Council for Opportunity in Education, supporting low-income students' college entry and graduation, and interned at the Institute for Higher Education Policy. Brittany C. holds a role at Florida Atlantic University as an Academic Programs Coordinator and has also served as an Adjunct Instructor there.

Brittany C. Ross completed their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Communication Studies and Spanish, with a double major, from Clemson University, where they studied from 2004 to 2008. Brittany C. then pursued their Master of Education (M.Ed) degree in Higher Education from the University of Florida, completing the program from 2008 to 2010. Currently, Brittany is enrolled at Florida State University, pursuing a Doctor of Education (EdD) degree in Education Policy, with an expected completion date in 2021.
