Maria Dunbar has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Maria started their career as a course facilitator at the University of Central Florida, where they utilized outdoor/adventure education to enhance team building, leadership, and communication skills. Maria then moved on to become a course facilitator and graduate assistant at Florida Atlantic University's College of Business, where they worked on team building and supported student academic success. Maria then worked as the Director of Academics at the University of California, Davis, where they led an experiential education program for undergraduate and postgraduate students across global campuses. Currently, they are the Head of Academics at The Florida Department of Education, where they collaborate with organizations and government entities to provide professional development programs and software solutions to support innovation and growth in education and research.
Maria Dunbar completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Elementary Education and Teaching from the University of Central Florida from 2000 to 2004. Maria then pursued a Master of Education (M.Ed.) degree in Higher Education/Higher Education Administration from the Florida Atlantic University - College of Business from 2004 to 2006.
