Maria Malcoms has a diverse work experience in the field of academics and education. Maria served as the Head of Academics at The Florida Department of Education and was responsible for collaborating with organizations and government entities within the research and education sector to provide professional development programs and software solutions. Prior to this, they worked as the Director of Academics at the University of California, Davis, where they led the experiential education program for undergraduate and postgraduate students across global campuses. Maria also worked as a Challenge Course Facilitator at Florida Atlantic University and the University of Central Florida, where they utilized outdoor/adventure education methods to develop team building and leadership skills in clients. Maria also gained experience as a Graduate Assistant at the Center for Learning & Student Success at Florida Atlantic University.
Maria Malcoms earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Elementary Education and Teaching from the University of Central Florida, where they studied from 2000 to 2004. Maria later pursued a Master of Education (M.Ed.) degree in Higher Education/Higher Education Administration at Florida Atlantic University, attending from 2004 to 2006. In July 2010, Maria obtained the Professional Educator's Certificate from The Florida Department of Education.
