Your Impact

  • Spearhead Financial Model Development: Take ownership of creating and maintaining our comprehensive financial model, including the income statement, balance sheet, and cash forecasting.  Focus sharply on SaaS industry dynamics and metrics to drive strategic financial decisions.
  • Innovate Cash Flow Forecasting: Design and implement cutting-edge cash flow forecasting models tailored to the SaaS industry.  Ensure clear visibility into cash requirements and optimize cash allocation strategies to support sustainable growth.
  • Drive Methodological Excellence: Spearhead continuous enhancement of forecasting methodologies, processes, and reporting.  Aim for peak accuracy, efficiency, and effectiveness to provide reliable financial insights.
  • Deliver Strategic Financial Insights: Conduct rigorous analysis of financial data, KPIs, and market trends.  Evaluate financial performance against budgets and forecasts, crafting compelling narratives that guide strategic initiatives and inform stakeholders.
  • Facilitate High-Impact Decision-Making: Engage in dynamic dialogues with VPs and C-Level.  Translate complex financial data into actionable insights that drive informed decisions and enhance financial performance.
  • Shape Strategic Vision: Play a pivotal role in strategic planning, offering insightful financial perspectives and recommendations.  Drive initiatives that align with business objectives and accelerate Fleetio’s growth trajectory.
  • Champion Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate seamlessly across teams to gather and analyze financial data.  Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial statements, fostering deeper insights and informed decision-making.
  • Ensure Financial Integrity: Partner closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate and timely recording and reporting of financial transactions.

Your Experience

  • 5+ years of proven experience in financial planning and analysis in SaaS
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. MBA or CFA qualification is a plus.
  • Strong proficiency in financial modeling analysis using Excel or other relevant tools. Advanced formula writing, pivot tables, writing and maintaining macros, and charting/modeling excite you!
  • Familiarity with SaaS metrics, such as MRR (Monthly Recurring Revenue), CAC (Customer Acquisition Cost), NRR (Net Revenue Retention), GRR (Gross Revenue Retention), Churn Rate, and LTV (Customer Lifetime Value)
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, navigating through ambiguity with confidence.
  • Natural curiosity with a keen interest in understanding the story behind the numbers, going beyond surface-level analysis to uncover valuable insights
  • Strong communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to effectively convey financial concepts and analysis to non-financial stakeholders, crafting a compelling narrative that drives decision-making
  • Proficiency in data visualization and financial planning software is a plus (we use Mosaic today)
  • Experience with NetSuite
  • Self-motivated and proactive approach to problem-solving, with a continuous improvement mindset
  • Strong ethics and integrity in handling confidential financial information
