Michael H. Ji

Director of Solutions Architecture at Flex Logix

Michael H. Ji has over twenty years of experience in the technology industry. Michael H. began their career in 1992 as a Research Assistant at Rutgers University. In 1995, they joined Bell Laboratories, Lucent Technologies as a MTS, where they pioneered in deploying ATM services with international technical trials. In 2000, they joined Stratex Networks (formerly Digital Microwave Corporation -DMC) as a Principal Engineer, where they designed architecture, MAC protocols and algorithms for broadband wireless access system. Later that same year, they joined Tensilica as a Systems Engineer, where they designed configurable processor with powerful instruction set architecture extension for high-performance packet processing. Michael H. then joined C*Core Technology in 2002 as the Systems and IP Department Head. In 2004, they joined Stretch as an MTS, where they designed high-speed Viterbi decoding and convolutional turbo codes (CTC) on software configurable processor (SCP) for WiMax. Michael H. then joined Broadcom in 2007 as a Principal Scientist. In 2012, they joined Xilinx as a Principal Architect. In 2020, they joined Lattice Semiconductor as a Principal Engineer, Security Architect. Most recently, they joined Flex Logix Technologies, Inc. in 2021 as the Director of Solutions Architecture.

Michael H. Ji obtained their BS in Automatic Control from Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 1988. Michael H. then went on to obtain their MS in Control Systems, automation from the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Institute of Automation in 1992. Finally, they completed their Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Rutgers University in 1997.
