James Derby

James Derby is a seasoned electrical engineer with extensive experience in product development, project management, and engineering leadership. Currently serving as Chief Engineer for Electrical Systems at Flexible Power Systems since February 2019, James collaborates with the Managing Director on company direction and focuses on electric vehicle hardware integration. Previous roles include Product Development Specialist for various sectors, Technical Director at MPE LIMITED, and Project Director at Flow Products Ltd, where responsibilities encompassed engineering activities and project management. James also contributed as General Manager at Energetix Pnu Power Ltd and held positions at Urenco Power Technologies Ltd and Kennedy & Donkin Ltd. James earned a 1st Class BEng(Hons) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Liverpool.
