Saurabh Taneja

Saurabh Taneja, PhD, has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and companies. Saurabh began their career as a Research Intern at Bundeswehr University Munich in 2006. In 2009, they joined Carnegie Mellon University as a PhD Candidate, where their research focused on smart environments and accurate indoor positioning using sensor data and contextual information. After completing their PhD, they joined SmartOps as an Algorithm Design Engineer Intern in 2012. In 2013, they joined SAP and held several positions, including Product Specialist II, Product Specialist III, and Senior Product Specialist, specializing in Supply Chain Predictive Analytics and Applications. Since 2022, Saurabh has been working at Flieber, initially as a Senior Data Scientist and currently as a Lead Data Scientist.

Saurabh Taneja PhD obtained a BTech degree in Civil Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi in the years 2003 to 2007. Later, they pursued an MS in Advanced Infrastructure Systems, specifically Self-Configuring Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Systems, at Carnegie Mellon University, from 2008 to 2009. Finally, they completed their education journey with a PhD from Carnegie Mellon University, specializing in the development of a framework for fusing sensing data with contextual information from 2009 to 2013.
