Randy Birdwell

Randy Birdwell is a seasoned professional in the homebuilding industry, currently serving as Chairman at Flintrock Builders since December 2023. Previously, Birdwell held the position of Homebuilding Industry Director and Professor of the Practice at Texas A&M University from July 2018 to May 2024, where responsibilities included serving as a Faculty Senator and coaching student competitions. As Managing Principal at McCafferty Group from July 2017 to December 2023, Birdwell provided consultancy services and expert witness testimony in various operational and legal contexts. Birdwell's earlier experience includes leadership as CEO and Board Chair at Gracepoint Homes, where the company grew significantly under their management, and as Region President at D.R. Horton following its acquisition of Emerald Homes, where Birdwell initially served as President. Birdwell earned a BS in Civil Engineering from Texas A&M University, graduating in 1978.
