Keith Bawden

Keith Bawden has an extensive work experience in various technology and leadership roles.

Currently, they serve as the Group Chief Technology Officer at FMH Group since January 2021.

Prior to that, they worked as the Chief Executive Officer & Chief Technology Officer at FLIP starting from February 2018.

From October 2016 to August 2017, Keith Bawden held the position of Chief Technology Officer at Flippa, where they implemented SCRUMBAN and release-based product and engineering models, redesigned engineering support processes, and introduced Kanban for defect and support management.

Keith also worked as the General Manager, Continuous DevOps at Versent from June 2015 to October 2016. During their tenure, they designed and built a new line of business focused on managed services driven by engineering and operational excellence.

From February 2014 to November 2014, Keith Bawden served as the Executive General Manager/Chief Technology Officer at Groupon Japan, overseeing Corporate Services and Platform & Product Engineering departments, and providing infrastructure support and managing various engineering functions.

In their previous role as a Business Intelligence Manager at Amazon, starting from April 2011 to January 2014, they led an agile team responsible for engineering data collection, statistical modeling, and data distribution solutions. Keith also served as a Senior Systems Engineer at Amazon from March 2007 to April 2011.

Before joining Amazon, Keith Bawden worked as the Chief Technology Officer at DB Stream from February 2006 to February 2007.

Earlier in their career, they held the position of Country Manager at The I.S. Department from October 2004 to February 2006, responsible for business development and managing Tokyo operations. Keith also served as a Business Systems Analyst at The Townsville City Council from May 2004 to October 2004.

Keith Bawden started their career as an IT Lecturer at Barrier Reef Institute of Technology from April 2003 to April 2004, where they taught courses in Linux systems administration, introductory programming, and project management, and served as the online learning coordinator for database management courses.

Keith Bawden has a diverse education history. Keith obtained a Bachelor's degree in Sociology from CQUniversity, which they pursued from 1994 to 2000. Additionally, they received a Bachelor's degree in Business Information Systems from the same university, studying from 2000 to 2005. Keith also acquired a Certificate in Japanese Language from International Budo University, where they were enrolled from 1997 to 1998.

In terms of certifications, Keith obtained the following credentials related to Linux system administration. In February 2016, they became an Exam Developer for both the Linux Foundation Certified System Administrator and the Linux Foundation Certified System Engineer. These certifications were granted by The Linux Foundation.
