Jan Śmigielski

Jan Śmigielski is an experienced software engineer who specializes in backend development. Jan has worked at multiple companies, starting with KPMG Poland where they interned and later became an associate in the General Audit and Deal Advisory departments. Jan then worked as the Chief Specialist in the Controlling department at Skanska before moving on to become a Senior Business Advisor at JP Weber. Most recently, they worked as a Software Engineer at BrainWorks Sp. z o.o., where they developed web apps for the media industry. Currently, they are a Software Engineer at Flip, where they are responsible for developing microservices for the Video system using Node.

Jan Śmigielski received their Master's degree in Accounting and Finance from SGH Warsaw School of Economics in the years 2006 to 2011. Jan completed postgraduate studies in Data Modeling/Warehousing and Database Administration from Szkoła Główna Gospodarstwa Wiejskiego w Warszawie in 2017 to 2018. Jan also completed a Java course at Kodilla in the years 2019 to 2020. Jan obtained a Programming Bootcamp certification from Kodilla in September 2020 and an Advanced Diploma in Accounting and Business from ACCA in July 2017.
