George Skidmore

George Skidmore has extensive experience in the field of uncooled sensors. George began their career at Zyvex Corporation in 1998, where they served as the Director of Research until 2006. George then joined Leonardo DRS as the Chief Scientist for Uncooled Sensors, a position they held for over 14 years until 2020. During this time, they also served as the Fellow, Chief Scientist, and Director of Development for Uncooled Sensors at FLIR Systems starting in 2020. Additionally, they worked as an Adjunct Faculty for MEMS Nanotechnology at Singularity University from 2009 to 2014.

George Skidmore began their education at Western Washington University in 1990, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics. George completed their undergraduate studies in 1993. Following this, they enrolled at the University of Minnesota in 1993, where they embarked on their postgraduate studies. George spent a total of five years at the University of Minnesota, culminating in the successful completion of their Ph.D. degree in Physics in 1998.
