Tomoki Matsuno is a Harvard University student pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Science and Public Policy with an Energy Track, expected to graduate in 2025. Matsuno is the Founder and President of the Harvard Undergraduate Japan Policy Network, leading research initiatives on economics related to worker cooperatives and digital currency for the City of Tsukuba. Matsuno serves as a Global Investment Research Summer Analyst at Goldman Sachs, focusing on the chemicals and steel sector. As a Kenneth I. Juster Fellow at the Weatherhead Center for International Affairs, Matsuno studies renewable energy access in Australia and the role of natural gas in the energy transition in the context of Japan and Australia. Additionally, Matsuno is a Founding Organizer of the Yamauchi Japan Initiative and has held various research and analytical roles, including at the Digital Agency of Japan and the World Economic Forum.
