Michael Luchen has held a variety of roles in the tech industry since 2010. In 2010, they began as a Cav Leader at Johnson County Community College, advocating for the college by giving tours to prospective students. In 2011, they were an Intern Freight Broker at Ryan Transportation Service, Inc., calling truck drivers and dispatchers all over the country to negotiate deals for moving freight. In 2012, they were President of the Information Systems Association of KU (IS@K), leading and developing the organization to better connect students with professional opportunities. Michael was also a First Year Experience Peer Mentor at The KU School of Business, assisting in teaching and support of the new First-Year Business Experience I course to freshmen students. Additionally, they were an Intern Information Technology at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas City, updating the department's SharePoint site with multiple new features to increase employee usage. From 2013 to 2021, they were at Crema, starting as a Project Coordinator and working their way up to Senior Digital Product Manager, Coach, and Director of Product Management. Michael then moved to The Product Manager in 2021, becoming the Podcast Host. In 2022, they began at Float.com as Director of Product, helping teams make the most of their time.
Michael Luchen's education history includes a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Information Systems from The University of Kansas between 2011 and 2013, and prior to that, they attended Johnson County Community College for Business Administration from 2009 to 2011. In addition, they hold several certifications, including Agile Coaching (ICP-ACC) and Agile Team Facilitation (ICP-ATF) from ICAgile obtained in October 2020, Service Learning Certification from the University of Kansas obtained in November 2012, Leadership Studies Certification from the University of Kansas obtained in May 2012, Certified Scrum Professional from Scrum Alliance obtained in November 2017, and Certified ScrumMaster from Scrum Alliance obtained in June 2017.
