Kristen Akel

Kristen Akel, CPA, currently serves as an Accounting Success Manager at FloQast since December 2024. Prior to this role, Kristen held positions at Florida Funders from October 2020 to December 2024, first as Director of Finance & Accounting and previously as Senior Accountant. Kristen began career experience as an Audit Associate at Carr, Riggs & Ingram from August 2018 to October 2020, following a role as a Graduate Assistant at North Carolina State University from August 2017 to May 2018. Earlier experience includes an Audit Intern position at Carr, Riggs & Ingram in early 2017 and an Accounting Intern role at WellCare Health Plans during the summer of 2016. Kristen holds a Master of Science in Accounting from North Carolina State University and has also studied at the University of South Florida.
