Jody McCormick

Jody McCormick is an experienced Grants Coordinator currently serving at FloridaCommerce and the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity, focusing on programs within the Office of Long-Term Resiliency. Previous roles include Disaster Recovery Manager and Supervisor during Hurricane Michael recovery efforts, as well as Team Host and On Field Coordinator for the Camellia Bowl. McCormick has extensive experience in government relations and political consulting at Cauthen and Associates, where responsibilities included legislative research and campaign fundraising. As Executive Director of the Alabama Athletic Commission, McCormick managed operations and developed regulations for professional and amateur combat sports, achieving a record in event sanctioning. Early career internships with Senator Richard Shelby and Congressman Terry Everett involved legislative research and constituent services. McCormick holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Political Science from The University of Alabama.
