Amber Mitchell Norris

Amber Mitchell Norris has a diverse work experience. Amber started their career in 2008 as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Mississippi, where they contributed to a federal grant project studying community resilience in the face of natural disasters. Amber later worked as an Adjunct Instructor of Macroeconomics at the University of South Alabama in 2012. In 2013, Norris joined the Florida Public Service Commission as a Public Utility Analyst. Amber then moved on to the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity in 2014, where they worked as an Economic Consultant. Norris returned to the Florida Public Service Commission in the same year and took on roles as a Public Utilities Supervisor and later as a Bureau Chief, Surveillance and Rate Filings. Overall, Norris has gained experience and expertise in the fields of economics, public utilities, and community resilience.
