Yahya Hassanzadeh, Ph.D., has a diverse and extensive work experience. Yahya started their career as an Electrical Engineering Intern at Ferdowsi University of Mashhad in 2009. Following this, they joined the Parse Lab of Robotics as a Project Manager Team Lead, where they led teams in technical designs, implementations, and manufacturing of autonomous mobile robot prototypes. During their time at the lab, they managed a group of talented individuals from various departments.
In 2012, Yahya returned to Ferdowsi University of Mashhad as an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant for one year. After that, they joined Koç University in 2014 as a Graduate Research Assistant, working at both the Distributed Systems and Reliable Networks (DISNET) laboratory and the Crypto@KU research group. In these positions, they focused on developing secure, low-latency, and highly available decentralized solutions for P2P cloud storage systems. Yahya also published over 10 academic papers in renowned conferences and journals.
In 2019, Yahya began their work at Dapper Labs as a Senior Software Engineer, contributing to the development of a state-of-the-art heap optimized cache for the Flow Blockchain. Yahya also led the design and development of the BFT-testing framework and worked on mitigating routing attacks. Additionally, they served as a Senior Distributed Systems Engineer at Dapper Labs, where they designed and developed the networking layer and verification node protocol of the Flow blockchain. Yahya also conducted performance benchmarks and optimizations and authored white papers and technical documents.
Throughout their career, Yahya has demonstrated a strong technical background, leadership skills, and a commitment to research and development in the field of distributed systems and blockchain.
Yahya Hassanzadeh, Ph.D., holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Koç University, which they obtained from 2014 to 2019. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor's degree in Computer Hardware Engineering from Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, spanning from 2007 to 2013.
Moreover, Yahya has obtained several certifications to enhance their skills and knowledge.
