Rai Hughes-Davies has a diverse work experience, starting with their role as a Marketing Communications Specialist at FlowPlay, where they focus on engagement, retention marketing, and delivering specific outcomes. Prior to FlowPlay, Rai worked at Whatcom Community College in various roles, including Administrative Assistant (Remote), Office Administrative Assistant, Educational Workshop Facilitator, Campus Safety and Security Monitor, Simpson Intercultural Center Student Staff, Community and Continuing Education Start Up Support Assistant, Programming and Diversity Board Member, and Student Recreational Center Facility Monitor Student Staff. They maintained campus safety, provided resources and support to students, facilitated events, and managed facility operations.

Additionally, Rai worked as a Library Assistant at Western Washington University, where they provided excellent customer service, supported library staff, and managed loan transactions. They ensured a friendly and culturally responsive environment for patrons.

Rai also served as a College Access Coordinator at Americore Employment, where they created and nurtured partnerships with schools and community organizations, recruited and trained college students as access coaches, and coordinated the College Access Corps program.

Rai Hughes-Davies has a strong educational background with a focus on communications. They started their academic journey by earning a High School Diploma from Burlington Edison High School in 2012. Afterward, Rai attended Whatcom Community College from 2013 to 2016, where they obtained an Associate of Arts and Sciences (A.A.S.) degree, majoring in Communications. They further pursued their education at Western Washington University from 2017 to 2019, completing a Bachelor's degree in Communications, with a minor in Political Science.

In addition to their formal education, Rai also obtained a certification in Accessibility Micro Courses from the Washington State Board for Community and Technical Colleges in the year 2020.
