Byron Nelson

Byron Nelson is an experienced internal medicine practitioner and owner of Nelson Internal Medicine LLC since December 2019. In addition to owning their practice, Nelson has held the position of staff physician at Floyd Medical Center since June 2018 and serves as medical director for both Cherokee Home Health and Cherokee County Health and Rehab Center since April 2015 and 2005, respectively. Nelson's extensive career began in the early 1980s, with significant roles as a physician at Cherokee Medical Center and in a private practice until 1995. Educational credentials include a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Alabama School of Medicine and an internal medicine residency at the Medical University of South Carolina. Nelson also holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from The University of Alabama.
