Ingmar Gorman

Chief Executive Officer & Co-Founder at Fluence

Ingmar Gorman has a diverse range of work experience in the field of psychology and psychedelic research. Ingmar is currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of Fluence, a position they have held since October 2019. Prior to this, Ingmar worked at the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies (MAPS) in various roles, including Clinical Investigator, Site Co-Principle Investigator, and Co-Investigator from 2013 to 2020. In 2020, they became the Chair of the Scientific Advisory Board at Journey Clinical Inc., a company that empowers independent practitioners to establish their own psychedelic clinics. Ingmar also served as the Director of the Psychedelic Education and Continuing Care Program from 2017 to 2019 and worked as a Psychologist at the Center for Optimal Living during the same period. Ingmar was a NIH Postdoctoral Fellow at New York University from 2017 to 2019 and gained clinical experience as a Clinical Psychology Intern at Bellevue Hospital Center in 2016. Prior to that, they worked as a Clinical Psychology Extern at Columbia University Center for Psychoanalytic Training and Research from 2015 to 2016 and at Bellevue Hospital Center from 2014 to 2015. Ingmar's early career in psychology began as a Psychology Extern at South Beach Psychiatric Center from 2013 to 2014.

Ingmar Gorman completed their Bachelor's degree in Psychology at New College of Florida from 2006 to 2009. Ingmar then pursued further education and obtained a Doctoral Degree in Psychology from The New School, which they completed from 2010 to 2016. Afterward, they undertook a NIH Postdoctoral Fellowship at New York University in the field of Behavioral Sciences Training in Drug Abuse Research, which they accomplished from 2017 to 2019.
