Deborah Christine Jensen has worked in various positions within the field of life sciences. From February 2012 to November 2013, Deborah was a Scientist II (Assay Development Supervisor) at Hologic (formerly Gen-Probe). During their time there, they invented a patented reagent and treatment method for nucleic acid extraction, improving efficiency and quality.

Deborah's earlier experience includes roles at the Genomics Institute Of The Novartis Research Foundation as a Research Scientist and DNA Sequencing Core Manager from June 2003 to February 2010. Deborah Christine conducted research in disease association mapping and managed all aspects of the DNA sequencing core.

Prior to that, Deborah worked as a Research Associate at GNF from January 2001 to June 2003, focusing on sequencing difficult templates.

Deborah Christine began their career as a Research Assistant at San Diego State University from June 2000 to December 2000, participating in undergraduate research on Type I collagen gene expression.

Before entering the life sciences field, Deborah gained experience as a Vet Technician/Receptionist at Friars Road Pet Hospital from September 1999 to December 2000, where they administered medications and cared for hospitalized animals.

Deborah Christine Jensen has a diverse education history with degrees and certifications obtained from various institutions. In 1995, they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Cellular and Molecular Biology from San Diego State University. Following their undergraduate studies, they pursued further education and received a Masters Degree and Advanced Certification in Regulatory Affairs from San Diego State University between 2008 and 2010. Most recently, in 2020, Deborah obtained a Python Programming Essentials Certificate from Rice University.
