Steve Morris has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries and roles. Steve started their career as a Senior Program Director at The Eventful Group in 1998. Later, they worked at Octagon, where they led the commercial engagement for the South African leg of the World Sevens Series.

In 2001, Steve joined Gilbert Rugby as the Marketing & Brand Manager. Following this, they became a Rugby Coach at the Eastern Suburbs District Rugby Union Football Club in 2004.

From 2002, Steve was an integral part of The Eventful Group, initially serving as a Managing Director for New Markets and a Board Member for the company. Steve then became the Managing Partner responsible for growth, market analysis, production, and partnerships. Steve also played a vital role in expanding the company into South Africa, Singapore, and the US.

In 2016, Steve joined Eventful Conferences as a Managing Partner, where they collaborated with the Americas' SAP Users' Group to deliver conferences and forums.

Steve also has a strong passion for rugby and has been involved as a Junior Rugby Coach at Easts Junior Beasties RUFC & Easts Bays RUFC since 2019. Steve currently serves as a Board Member for Easts Junior Beasties RUFC, focusing on sponsor engagement and funding for junior rugby.

Steve's most recent roles include being the Head of Strategic Alliances for Supply Chain at Fluent Commerce and a Strategic Advisor at SAPinsider. Steve played a crucial role in the acquisition of The Eventful Group's "Mastering SAP" portfolio by SAPinsider and served as the Managing Director for the APAC region.

Steve Morris earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in History, English, and Politics from the University of Cape Town in 1991-1994. Steve went on to complete a Post Grad in Education with a focus on History Teacher Education at Rhodes University in 1995. In 1997, Steve obtained a Post Grad in Business & Marketing Management from the University of Cape Town.
