Lia is a User Experience Researcher at Fluent Research where she focuses on qualitative research to provide detailed and thoughtful feedback in order to make positive change in a fast-paced, digital world. Lia is passionate about impactful research that centers on people’s stories to better inform practical outcomes and future actions. As a former Fluent intern, one of Lia’s most rewarding projects involved better understanding the impact that COVID-19 had on the socio-emotional development of children ages 3-6.
Lia’s interest in research with children stems from a long history of working closely with them throughout high school and college in both personal and academic capacities. These include her roles as a caretaker, counselor, tutor and volunteer, and she is excited to turn those experiences into useful tools for future research.
Lia graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with an interdisciplinary Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology, neuroscience, and philosophy as well as a minor in child development. As an undergraduate Lia was involved in cognitive psychological research as well as peer counseling for students on campus struggling with mental health.
