Kirsten Ehlers has a diverse work experience. In 2016, they worked as a Recreation Leader at The Corporation of the Town of Ajax, where they planned and implemented recreation programming for four programs with ages ranging from 3 to 18. In 2019, they worked as a Junior Developer at Intellisoft, where they were responsible for full-stack development of client applications using Sql, Python, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, groovy and Amazon Web Services. In 2020, they worked at Irving Tissue as a Paper Mill Process Improvement Co-op and at Christie Digital Systems as an Advanced Research Systems Engineering Co-op. At Irving Tissue, they were responsible for project management for multiple process improvement projects, quality testing and designing and developing a site inventory system using C# and PARCView. At Christie Digital Systems, they developed an AI-assisted object tracking system prototype using Python, C++, CUDA, OpenCV, and Arduino. In 2021, they worked as an X-ray Scientist Student at KA Imaging Inc. and as a Part-time Production Student Developer at Irving Tissue. In 2022, they worked at FluidAI (formerly NERv Technology) as a Manufacturing Engineering Associate. In this role, they worked with the core team to design a manufacturing process for a new medical device, wrote work instructions for manufacturing processes, participated in change order reviews and design reviews, designed and implemented a custom inventory management and manufacturing tracking system, and designed and prototyped custom jigs to automate several manufacturing processes.

Kirsten Ehlers is currently enrolled in the University of Waterloo, where they are pursuing a Bachelor of Applied Science in Biomedical/Medical Engineering. Kirsten is expected to graduate in 2023.
