Manaswi Sharma has had a diverse work experience, beginning in 2019. In that year, they were a Research Assistant at the University of Toronto and a Sales Executive at Expert Online Training. At Expert Online Training, they sold administrative software to new clients, negotiated costs, and provided customer service to U.S.-based camping industry organizations. Manaswi also generated $32,000 (USD) in revenue for the company and represented the company at an annual 3-day conference in Atlantic City, New Jersey. In 2021, they were a Clinical Research Assistant at NERv Technology, where they developed and executed proof of concept animal studies in swine models of bilateral effusion and anastomotic leakage, completed Good Clinical Practices module, developed ethics applications for addition of four clinical trial sites, conducted quality assurance visits at hospital sites, and source document verification of patient records on the CTMS, Castor. Manaswi also obtained $100,000 through grant applications to fund the clinical trials and conducted preliminary data analysis using Python modules to generate interim analysis reports. In 2020, they were a Residence Life Don, Campus Housing at the University of Waterloo, where they helped the transition of 36 first year students to residence and university life. As a don, they conducted regular check-ins with all students to ensure adequate support and facilitated conflict management among roommates and peers when it arises. Additionally, they were a Teaching Assistant for courses in the Biology and Biomedical Engineering department at University of Waterloo, and a Media and Design Coordinator, Central Orientation Team, where they created promotional videos for sharing on social media to generate excitements regarding the 6 events being organized by central O-Team, and supported the larger orientation committee by coordinating with all faculty O-Teams to gather photos and videos to create social media content. Lastly, they were a Project Manager: WUSA Clothing Project, where they procured funding for renovation of the space and worked to establish the various aspects of the store, including store design, generating standard operating procedures, recruiting, training and managing executive members, and helping develop a marketing plan for the store launch once health and COVID regulations permit. Currently, they are a Senior Clinical Research Associate at FluidAI (formerly NERv Technology), where their main goal is to support the seamless conduct of the Clinical Trails being carried out at NERv, including coordination with clinicians, study sites, and ethics review boards, as well as site monitoring and source document verification.
