Vivant Shen

Vivant Shen has extensive experience in data science and risk analysis. Vivant worked as a Lead Data Scientist at Lending Works from October 2017 to present, where they have played a crucial role in developing data models and methodologies. Prior to this, they worked as a Data Scientist at Lending Works from March 2016 to September 2017.

Before joining Lending Works, Vivant worked at VisualDNA as a Risk Infrastructure & Modelling Specialist from November 2014 to February 2016. In this role, they worked closely with clients to design and validate risk models, primarily using R. Vivant also worked with big data sets in live trial environments.

Vivant's previous experience includes working at Zopa as a Credit Risk Data Scientist from March 2013 to October 2014. In this role, they provided actionable insights to enhance risk control and assessment processes. Vivant built predictive models using logistic regression and random forests and collaborated with Equifax to create propensity models using bureau data. Vivant also utilized vintage analysis and cohort analysis to forecast default rates.

At Zopa, Vivant also worked as a Data Analyst from January 2012 to February 2013. In this role, they designed and managed reports for marketing and risk management and provided analytics insights using SQL, SAS, Excel, and Pivot tables. Vivant also utilized decision trees and logistic regression for clustering and segmentation analysis and used optimization algorithms to find factors affecting lending quality.

Prior to working in the finance industry, Vivant worked as a Credit Analyst at Bank Sinopac Ltd. from September 2008 to April 2010. Vivant also gained teaching assistant and tutorship manager experience at National Dong Hwa University from September 2006 to June 2008.

In addition to their professional experience, Vivant also has experience in public relations management and activity management at National Dong Hwa University from June 2005 to June 2006.

Vivant Shen's education history starts with a Bachelor's degree in Economics from National Dong Hwa University (NDHU), which they obtained in 2006. Vivant then pursued a Master's degree in Finance from the same university, completing it in 2008. Vivant'sacademic journey continued as they enrolled at the University of Southampton in 2010, where they obtained a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Management in 2011. In terms of additional certifications, Vivant Shen achieved the title of "Modeling Contest Winner - Predict Exacerbation in patients with COPD" from CrowdANALYTIX in August 2015.
