Clay Dowdey has experience in various roles and companies. Clay started their career as an intern at The Chemours Company in 2017, working as a Processing Engineering Co-op. Clay continued their work at The Chemours Company in 2018, serving as both an Intern and a Process Engineering Co-op. In the same year, they also worked as an R&D Intern at Greenology Products, Inc. In 2019, Dowdey interned as an EHS Intern at Novo Nordisk. Later that year, they joined The Chemours Company as a Manufacturing Technology Engineer. In 2021, they worked as a Process Engineer II at Corning Incorporated. Currently, Dowdey is the COO at Flux Hybrids.
Clay Dowdey's education history begins in 2015 when they enrolled in North Carolina State University for their Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering. Clay completed their undergraduate studies in 2019. Following this, in 2021, Clay began pursuing their Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering at North Carolina State University, which they are expected to complete in 2023.
In terms of certifications, Clay has obtained several additional certifications. In December 2019, they passed the FE Exam administered by NCEES (National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying). In February 2020, they became an Engineer In Training registered with the North Carolina Board of Examiners for Engineers and Surveyors. Finally, in June 2020, Clay passed the PE Exam conducted by NCEES.
