Benjamin Sorkin has worked in various industries since 2013. Benjamin began their career as an Engineering Intern at Vengo Labs, where they designed and modeled subsystem parts on CATIA and assemblies, troubleshot issues and innovated solutions. In 2015, they took on the role of Director of the Electric Marine Propulsion Systems R&D Student Lab at Princeton University, where they conducted research aimed at bringing automotive electric powertrain technology to the underdeveloped marine industry. In 2016, they worked as a Powertrain Service/Remanufacturing Intern at Tesla Motors. From 2017 to 2022, they held two roles at Navatek LLC, as Director of Electric Propulsion and Mechanical Engineer. Benjamin also founded and served as CEO of Flux Marine Ltd. from 2017 to 2022. In 2022, they joined the Member Board of Directors of the Rhode Island Marine Trades Association.
Benjamin Sorkin attended Princeton University from 2013 to 2017, where they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering.
