Jody du Plessis

Jody Du Plessis has a diverse range of work experience in the aviation industry. In 2019, they worked as a Flight Operations Officer at FlySafair, where they were responsible for ensuring awareness of aircraft status and formulating alternative courses of action to minimize disruptions to schedules. Prior to that, from 2018 to 2018, they worked as a Flight Operations Supervisor/AMC Rep at CemAir (Pty)Ltd, where they carried out supervisory responsibilities and analyzed airport data to identify operational areas of development. From 2017 to 2018, they worked as a German Load Control Agent at Global Load Control, where they performed weight and balance calculations and monitored loading processes. In 2016, they worked as a Flight Administrator at ExecuJet Aviation Group, where they handled ground handling processes and provided customer service. Before that, from 2012 to 2016, they held roles as a Ramp Agent and Customer Service Agent at Comair Limited. Jody also has experience as a Flight Dispatcher at British Airways from 2010 to 2012. Their earlier work experience includes roles as a Waiter at The Polo Club of Boca Raton in 2005 and as a Tour Guide at Nomad Africa Adventure Tours in 2004. In 2021, Jody enrolled in Cranfield Aviation Training to pursue the Lead Aviation Auditors Course.

In addition to their formal education, Jody has also obtained several certifications. Jody completed the Lead Aviation Auditors Course at Cranfield Aviation Training in November 2021. In 2019, they obtained the Flight Operations Officer certificate from EFO College, and also completed certifications in SACAA CATS and CARS Familiarisation from Cranfield Aviation Training, as well as Airport Slots and Coordination from the International Air Transport Association (IATA) in 2019.
