Achim Zimmermann

Achim Zimmermann has extensive experience in the insurance industry. Achim started their career as a Loss Adjuster at Victoria Versicherung AG, where they handled industrial losses in Northern and Eastern Germany as well as in Denmark. In 1998, they joined FM Global as a General Adjuster, and later became the Division Senior General Adjuster in the UK. Achim then transitioned to FM Insurance Company Ltd., where they served as the Senior General Adjuster Operations, overseeing claims handling quality and supervising adjustment activities for large industry losses throughout Europe. In 2014, Achim joined FM Global again, this time as the Operations Claims Manager and Vice President. Throughout their career, they have provided guidance and control to adjusters, conducted internal audits for claims quality, and had the highest settlement authority.

Achim Zimmermann completed their Abitur at Gymnasium Schwertstrasse in Solingen, Germany, from 1978 to 1987. Achim later obtained a Master's Degree in Engineering with a specialization in Technical Risk Analysis from Bergische Universität Wuppertal, studying from 1988 to 1994.
