Max Berthold

Max Berthold is an experienced program manager and advisor in the defense sector, currently serving as the Program Manager for New Generation Ground Based Air Defence at FMV - Försvarets Materielverk since April 2014. Berthold has held multiple roles at the Swedish Defence Material Administration, including Market Director for NORDEFCO and the Baltic Region, and Deputy Chief Technical Officer. With a strong background in technical coordination and project management, Berthold has led significant research programs such as the MAESA project focused on Multifunctional Electrical Arrays and the AESA program for Active Electrical Scanned Arrays. Educational qualifications include an Executive MBA from the Stockholm School of Economics and a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from Chalmers University of Technology.
