Hinguuma Handia

Hinguuma Handia has over 12 years of experience in the banking industry. They started their career at Stanbic Bank Zambia Ltd in 2010, where they worked as a Credit Evaluation Manager for Personal & Business Banking, with a focus on Agriculture. In this role, they were responsible for assessing and evaluating credit facilities, identifying and evaluating sources of risk, and detecting and evaluating shifts or changes in risk parameters. After seven years in this role, they moved to Stanbic Bank Zambia Limited in 2017, where they took on the position of Head of Business Banking Credit. In 2018, they transitioned to the role of Head of Personal & Business Banking Credit, overseeing credit operations for these divisions. They recently joined FNB Zambia in 2022 as the Head of Credit.

Hinguuma Handia obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Economics from the University of Zambia, where they studied from 2000 to 2004. In 1995 to 1999, they completed their secondary education at Mpelembe Secondary School. Later, in 2011 to 2012, they pursued a Post Graduate Diploma in Banking & Finance at the Zambia Institute of Bankers. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications such as "Giving Your Elevator Pitch", "Jodi Glickman on Make 'Em Love You at Work", and "Psychological Safety: Clear Blocks to Innovation, Collaboration, and Risk-Taking" from LinkedIn, all obtained in 2021.
