Dr. Clément Paradis has a diverse work experience in the field of laser science and engineering. Dr. Clément is currently working as a Senior Laser Scientist at Focused Energy Inc. since September 2022. Prior to that, they had their own consulting company called Clément Paradis Consulting, where they worked as a Freelance Optical/System Engineer from December 2021.
Dr. Paradis also worked at AMPHOS GmbH, a member of the TRUMPF group, where they served as a Project Manager and Development Engineer from October 2019 to November 2021.
Before that, they worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Time and Frequency Laboratory at the University of Neuchâtel, Switzerland, from January 2018 to May 2019. Dr. Clément also had experience as a Doctoral Student in the same laboratory from October 2013 to December 2017.
Dr. Paradis completed their Master Thesis Project at Imperial College London in 2013, where they focused on laser system development for high-energy few-cycle pulses generation.
In 2012, they had a lab internship at the Friedrich-Schiller-Universität Jena, where they worked on process optimization for femtosecond-laser doping and texturing.
In 2011, Dr. Paradis completed a lab internship at the Foundation for Research and Technology - Hellas (FORTH) Institute of Electronic Structure & Laser, where they focused on the development of non-linear optics laser experiments.
Overall, Dr. Clément Paradis has a strong background in laser science and engineering, with experience in project management, research, and system development.
Dr. Clément Paradis began their education in 2009 by pursuing a degree in Applied Mathematics at ENSTA Paris. Dr. Clément successfully completed their four-year program in 2013, obtaining a Diplôme d'ingénieur. In the following year, from 2012 to 2013, they attended Imperial College London to pursue a Master of Science degree in Applied Optics. After completing their studies at Imperial College, Dr. Paradis decided to further their academic journey by enrolling at the Abbe School of Photonics, where they pursued a Master of Science degree in Photonics from 2011 to 2012. Finally, they continued their education by joining Université de Neuchâtel in 2013 and completed their doctoral studies in Physics, earning a Doctor of Science - PhD degree in 2017.
