David Hayes

David Hayes has a diverse work experience in the field of software engineering and development. David started their career as a Computer Lab Assistant at ITaP in Purdue University from March 2007 to April 2011. During their time at Purdue University, they also worked as an Application Developer in Purdue ITIS from May 2011 to January 2014, where they developed DNS management software using Python, SQL, BIND, and various other languages/frameworks.

David then joined JPMorgan Chase & Co. as an Application Developer from February 2014 to March 2015. David subsequently worked at Pivotal Software, Inc. as a Software Engineer/Consultant at Pivotal Labs from April 2015 to June 2020. In this role, they contributed to various projects and provided consulting services across different industries, domains, and tech stacks.

Currently, David is employed at Focused Labs as a Senior Engineering Consultant, where they continue to consult on projects, teach software engineering practices, and deliver quality software using XP practices.

David Hayes attended Purdue University from 2006 to 2013, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Computer Science.
