Peter Samyn

Peter Samyn has extensive experience in human resources and policy support within the Belgian public sector. Currently serving as the Voorzitter van Het Directiecomité and Waarnemend voorzitter van het directiecomité at FOD Sociale Zekerheid - SPF Sécurité Sociale since May 2018, Peter Samyn provides crucial support for political decision-making on social protection in Belgium at both national and international levels. Previously, Peter Samyn held various HR leadership roles, including P&O Director and HR Director at the Federal Public Service Health, Food Chain Safety and Environment. Peter Samyn also worked as an HR Advisor at Smals and held multiple HR Director positions across different organizations, contributing significantly to the development of strategic HR practices. Peter Samyn holds a Master’s degree in Psychology from Ghent University, which was obtained between 1981 and 1986.
