Ferruccio Resta

Ferruccio Resta is an accomplished academic and leader currently serving as President of Fondazione Politecnico di Milano, MOST - Centro nazionale per la mobilità sostenibile, and Fondazione Bruno Kessler. Resta's extensive career at Politecnico di Milano began as Assistant Professor and includes roles as Associate Professor, Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Rector, and Rector’s Delegate for Technology Transfer. Resta's leadership has been characterized by a focus on innovation, sustainable mobility, and the integration of academic research with industrial applications. Educated at Politecnico di Milano, Resta holds a Ph.D. in Applied Mechanics and a Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Additionally, Resta served as President and Secretary General of CRUI, coordinating the university system with the Italian government.
