Silvia Picciolini is a researcher at Fondazione Don Carlo Gnocchi ONLUS since February 2019, specializing in biophotonics analysis of nanoparticles for medical biosensors. Silvia completed a PhD in Translational and Molecular Medicine at Università degli Studi di Milano-Bicocca, focusing on technological platforms, nanomedicine, and diagnostics. Previously, Silvia served as a visiting scholar at the McGowan Institute for Regenerative Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh, investigating mechanisms of skeletal muscle regeneration. Prior research roles include a research scholar position at Fondazione Don Carlo Gnocchi ONLUS, developing Raman Spectroscopy methods for Alzheimer’s care, and research experience with Plasmore S.r.l. Silvia earned a degree in Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Technologies from Università degli Studi di Milano and completed secondary education at Liceo Scientifico Don Gnocchi.
