Giacomo Koch

Giacomo Koch has a diverse range of work experience in the field of human physiology. Giacomo is currently a Full Professor of Human Physiology at the Università degli Studi di Ferrara since October 2020. Prior to this, Giacomo worked as the Lab Director at the Fondazione Santa Lucia starting from January 2006. Giacomo also served as a Consultant Neurologist Stoke Unit at the Policlinico Tor Vergata from 2006 to January 2020. Giacomo has also been a Visiting Fellow at the University College London in the year 2004. Additionally, they recently co-founded Sinaptica Therapeutics and serves as a Scientific Advisor at the company.

Giacomo Koch completed their Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from Sapienza Università di Roma between 1992 and 1998. Giacomo then pursued further education in Neurology at the University of Rome Tor Vergata from 1999 to 2003. In 2004 to 2007, they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree from Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore.
