Francesco Saponaro

Francesco Saponaro is an accomplished director with extensive experience in the Italian theater scene. Currently serving as a director at Teatro di Napoli and Teatro Bellini since January 2023 and October 2021 respectively, Saponaro also holds ongoing positions at Fondazione Teatro di San Carlo and other prestigious institutions such as Fondazione Teatro delle Muse and Mercadante Teatro Stabile di Napoli. Notable productions include "La Bohème" by Giacomo Puccini, for which Saponaro directed and adapted various performances, and "Il medico dei pazzi." In addition, Saponaro has been the coordinator at Università degli studi Suor Orsola Benincasa since January 2018, demonstrating a dedication to both artistic direction and education within the performing arts.
