Rasheed Ature

Rasheed Ature is a dedicated professional with experience in community-focused roles related to environmental policy and food access. Currently serving as a Program Assistant for Food First NL, Rasheed works to enhance access to fresh food by linking consumers with local producers. Previous positions include Research Assistant II at Grenfell Campus, Memorial University, and Community Food Programs Assistant during a MITACS internship at Western Environment Center. Additionally, Rasheed has experience as a Research Assistant at Memorial University of Newfoundland and a Research Fellowship at The University of Winnipeg, contributing to significant projects such as the Climate Learning and Adaptation for Northern Development Project. Earlier tenure includes a role as Research Assistant at Catholic Relief Services, where Rasheed managed field data collection for a project in Ghana. Rasheed holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Policy from Memorial University and a Bachelor’s degree in Development Planning from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology.
