Alex Mwaura

Alex Mwaura has extensive experience in leadership and program management within the humanitarian sector, currently serving as the Country Director for Food for the Hungry, Inc. in Kenya since July 2009, with previous roles including Interim Country Director, Program Director, and Africa Regional Coordinator. Prior to this, Alex held various positions at Samaritan's Purse from 2003 to 2009, including Program Manager in Nairobi and Operations Manager for South Sudan. Beginning a career in communications as a Production Assistant at Family Media-Kenyan from 2002 to 2003, Alex possesses a solid educational background with a Master of Science in Sustainable Development from the University of Sussex, an Executive Master of Science in Organization Development from United States International University - Africa, and a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Daystar University.
