Dr. Garrett joined Food Safety Net Services in 2013. He has an extensive background in managing a variety of food manufacturing operations as well as in food safety systems within the industry. Dr. Garrett received his Bachelor of Science, Masters of Science, and PhD in Animal Science from Texas A&M University with primary focus on meat science and muscle biology. Since completing his PhD, Dr. Garrett has worked for 22 years in the meat industry with responsibilities ranging from manager of technical quality to management of operating meat plants here in the United States and in Uruguay.
