Bay Area Operations Manager at Fooda

Matthew Mendez has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries.

Matthew started their career as a Certified Trainer at Darden, where they quickly advanced to become a Sales Manager and received recognition for improving guest satisfaction and reducing employee turnover. Matthew then became a Service Manager and led their team to win the PACE Setting Service Award in the Bay Area Region.

Following their time at Darden, Matthew joined Mangowin as a Product Manager and played a crucial role in the development of the website. Matthew also worked as a Customer Success Manager, where they established partnerships and expanded the user base through collaborations with local universities.

Matthew later joined Coupa Cafe, where they held several leadership positions. As the Director of Events, they built a successful catering division and achieved a significant increase in outside sales. Matthew also served as the Operations and Sales Director, driving sales growth and implementing new processes for efficient customer service. During the COVID pandemic, they played a key role in creating the Grocery division and implementing cost-saving measures as the Operations and Purchasing Director.

Most recently, Matthew joined Fooda as the Delivery Operations Lead before being promoted to Bay Area Operations Manager.

Matthew Mendez completed their Bachelor's degree in Marketing at San Francisco State University. Prior to that, they pursued an Associate of Arts and Sciences - AAS degree in Business Administration and Management, General at Foothill College.
