Miguel Menéndez Álvarez

Miguel Menéndez Álvarez has a diverse work experience in software engineering, research, and IT support roles. Miguel began their career as a Research Internship with UPM in 2013. In 2015, they completed a Talentum Internship at Telefónica, where they collaborated with the IT&Operations department and gained experience in troubleshooting and technical support. Miguel then worked as an IT Support professional at Stuart School of Business, IIT, troubleshooting classroom and lab issues and providing IT helpdesk support to students.

In 2016, Miguel joined the Illinois Institute of Technology, where they held multiple roles. Miguel worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant, providing support to faculty and students. Miguel also served as a Researcher in the Computer Science Department, collaborating with Dr. Wu-Hon Francis Leung's research group on feature-oriented programming languages and applications. Additionally, Miguel worked as a Software Engineer at the Biophysics Collaborative Access Team (BioCAT), developing software using Python with OpenCV, NumPy, SciPy, and pyFAI.

From 2017 to 2018, Miguel worked as a Software Engineer at Grainger, gaining further experience in software development. Currently, Miguel holds the position of Software Engineer at Fooda, where they utilize their skills in software engineering.
