Dave Seddon, MBA RDN LDN

Dave Seddon has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries. Dave is currently a co-founder and Chief Food Safety Officer (CFSO) at FoodReady, an AI software and mobile app company that focuses on optimizing and automating operations for food safety and quality compliance. Prior to this, Dave worked as a Food Safety Outreach Professional at a University from November 2018.

In 1995, Dave co-owned PeakCore LLC and was involved in its operations. In 2015, they became the Co-Managing Director of the Maine Farm and Sea Cooperative, where they led the nation's first farm/sea to institutional food management cooperative. Dave'sresponsibilities included strategic planning, financial and operational oversight, business partnerships, marketing and membership initiatives, grant writing, and promoting fair worker practices.

Before their involvement in the food industry, Dave held various positions in different companies. From 2014 to 2015, they served as the Global Financial System Manager at CIEE: Council on International Educational Exchange. Prior to that, they were the Business Manager and Financial Analyst/Wellness Committee Chair at GWI from January 2012 to June 2013. Dave also worked as a Revenue Manager/Senior Analyst at OTT Communications from 2009 to January 2012 and as a Revenue Manager/Financial Analyst at Pine Tree Networks from 2004 to 2009.

Dave's earlier experiences include working as a Finance Manager at Edward Jones from 2003 to 2004 and as a General Manager at Panera Bread/Breads of the World from 2001 to 2003. Overall, their work experience showcases their expertise in food safety, financial management, business development, and leadership roles.

Dave Seddon, MBA RDN LDN has a diverse education history. Dave began their undergraduate studies at the University of Vermont, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Dietetics & Small Business Management from 1988 to 1992. Following their undergraduate education, Dave continued their studies at Boston University from 1992 to 1994, focusing on Dietetics and Business.

In 1999, Dave pursued further education and attended Colorado State University, where they obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a specialization in Finance and Business Operations. This two-year program lasted from 1999 to 2001.

In addition to their formal education, Dave Seddon also holds various certifications. Dave became a Registered Dietitian (RD) in September 1994, after successfully completing the requirements set by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. In 2014, Dave obtained their Notary Public certification from the State of Maine. Furthermore, they acquired a certification as a Certified SQF Contract Auditor from Exemplar Global, Inc. in 2017. Dave is also listed as an SQF Auditor with the SQF Institute. Finally, they have yet to obtain their Preventative Controls Qualified Individual (PCQI) certification from IFPTI (International Food Protection Training Institute).
